About Nancy

Nancy Tylim, Psy.D., MCC

Dr. Nancy Tylim is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years experience counseling people from different backgrounds and needs. Nancy is a Master Certified Coach who is passionate about coaching Individuals, Couples, Teams, Organizations. Her experience includes working for 7 years at the UCLA Employee Assistance Program serving their work teams, staff and faculty. She coached and trained managers, supervisors and employees in the different competencies to help them achieve their goals and create fulfilling and inspiring relationships while improving their work productivity. Nancy developed and established the Employee Assistance Program at one of 3M’s plants in Simi Valley, California from its inception. She was in charge of coaching Managers and Executives to be more effective leaders as well as Employees on any work related or personal issue. Nancy is also a Certified Coach Supervisor, Certified Advanced Cultural Intelligence Trainer, an Emotional Intelligence and Diversity Trainer, a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator, Certified Mentor Coach  as well as a Cross Cultural and Community Mediator and Red Cross Mental Health Volunteer. She co-founded the Dream Kids Parenting Workshops where she coached parents to develop strong family alliances. Nancy served on the Board of Directors’ as the Global Programs Co-Director at the International Coaching Federation Los Angeles Chapter (ICFLA).

Dr. Nancy Tylim has presented numerous trainings internationally in English and Spanish on subjects as varied as : Emotional Intelligence and Diversity in the Workplace, Conflict Mediation in the Workplace, dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress after a Terrorist Attack (in Argentina after the bombing of the AMIA building in Buenos Aires), Coping with Downsizing in Organizations, Team Building in the Workplace, Acculturation in Hispanics for Mental Health Professionals, and more.

Dr Tylim received an Outstanding Doctoral Project Award for her training program “Acculturation in Hispanics” for mental health professionals. She presented her work at the 25th International Congress of Psychology in Brussels, Belgium.

Nancy works with individuals, couples, families and organizations to help them create and develop better relationships with themselves and the people in their lives in order to help them live a fulfilling, balanced, and meaningful life.
